We all know that guys are crazy for gadgets and new technological stuff that are fresh on the market. When it comes to mobile phones, there`s no doubt that Apple`s iPhone is one of the best ones there is and people around the world own and use one or even dream about one.

Everybody`s curious about the newest iPhone 5 that is soon to be released on the market. We will give you a preview on iPhone 5, namely the iPhone 5 specifications and the iPhone 5 release date.

Here are the most significant iPhone 5 specifications that separate the iPhone 5 from the previous iPhone 3 and 4:

1. 8 MP Digital Camera

If we regard the fact that the previous iPhones have at best 4 MP digital camera, the iPhone 5 will have a more performant camera of 8 MP. Rumors say that the new digital camera will enable you to film in 1080p HD Full. Also, the iPhone 5 digital camera will be fabricated be Sony, no longer OmniVision.

2. No Home Button

Among iPhone 5 specifications, rumors say that it will no longer have the famous ‘home’ button. We were not able to find out, though, what kind of feature will replace the home button.

We believe that iPhone 5 will dispose of one big touch screen that will incorporate the home button.

3. Larger Touch Screen

The diagonal of the new iPhone 5 will measure up to 5 inch and the 4 OLED screen will prove it. The geeks at Nowhere Else say that this iPhone 5 specification is 80% certain.

4. 64 GB Model

The iPhone 5 wil also have a 68 GB version, meaning that the storage space will definitelly be a great difference, placing iPhone 5 way ahead iPhone 4 and the other older iPhones.

5. 3D Screen

Another important iPhone 5 specification is the improven 3D touch screen that this gadget will dispose of. Some say this is a false rumour.

6. NFC Technology

One iPhone 5 specification is the NFC technology it may use. Technology enthusiasts say that NFC technology if the next step in the field of information because of the facilities it offers and the easily usage.

By simply touching tags located throughout both our venues, visitors can delve deeper into the story of various cities in an immediate and engaging way.

7. A new processor and bigger RAM memory

iPhone 5 will dispose of a Dual Core A 5 Processor, 1.4GHz. This information was revealed to us after the release of iPad 2. Also, the RAM memory will reach 1 GB, double the size of the RAM memory of an iPhone 4.

8. iPhone 5 release date

The iPhone 5 release date will probably occur somewhere in September 2011 at best, but we can wait even longer for this technological gem.

For Microsoft Corp. (MSFT-Q25.67-0.16-0.62%), the only thing better than acquiring Internet communication powerhouse Skype is ensuring that Google and Facebook didn’t.

Under immense pressure to make up ground to its rivals in the smart phone and mobile communication market, the Redmond-based software giant has opted to spend $8.5-billion (U.S.) on Skype, a company it hopes will immediately vault it back to the top of the leaderboard, thanks to Skype’s 107 million active users and presence on almost every type of personal computing device on the planet, from desktops to iPhones.

Skype offers users free or relatively cheap Web-based audio and video calls. The all-cash deal – the largest in Microsoft’s 36-year history – ends months of negotiations that are believed to have involved heavyweight suitors such as Google and Facebook. Both rivals had entered the bidding war for Skype with the same strategy as Microsoft, hoping to integrate audio and video-calling services into their existing products.

However, Microsoft appears to have presented the richest offer, and is now left with the daunting but potentially lucrative task of building Skype’s services into everything from instant messaging to e-mail to productivity software. Perhaps most importantly, Microsoft will also try to use Skype’s technology to boost the appeal of Windows-powered smart phones, which currently lag behind devices from companies such asApple Inc. and Research In Motion Ltd.

Search remains at the core of most mobile activities. Marketers must learn best practices. In an AMA-sponsored webinar, Google and The Search Agency on Wednesday presented stats and best practices for mobile search. The group ran through building support for mobile landing pages, differences between mobile and tablet campaigns, and hyperlocal and sitelink ads, as well as call-to-action and click-to-call enabled ads.

Local companies can capitalize most on mobile. One in three mobile searches is local, according to the BIA/Kelsey Group. After looking up a local business on a smartphone, 61% of users call the business and 59% visit the location, the analyst firm estimates.

Google estimates that between 15% and 30% of site traffic will come from mobile devices within 18 months. Mobile-only campaigns generate 11.5% higher click-through rates.

When it comes to tablets, users spend 50% more time with the ad compared with PC Web users. Tablet conversion rates are equal or higher to the rate of PCs. They have a higher average order value, lower cost per click, and more time on-site. The desktop site will render on a tablet as long as it doesn’t include Flash technology.

Still, it’s important to think about separate mobile campaigns. When mobile campaigns are separated from desktop campaigns, advertisers gain more control and better visibility into bids, for example. Optimizing bids for mobile devices means setting them a bit higher in the early weeks to establish a good Quality Score because only two paid-search ads serve up.

Marketers should optimize keyword lists as well. Keeping in mind that many mobile users have local intent, marketers may want to include more local keywords. And when putting together ad creatives, remember to add “shop on your iPhone or Android,” reminding the consumer that it’s safe to make transactions on the phone.

Advertisers who break out mobile campaigns can see significant gains. On average, the click-through rates rise 11.5%, according to Google.

Mike Solomon — VP of marketing strategy at The Search Agency, a search engine marketing agency — walked through ways to implement mobile strategies, beginning with data from 13 clients across numerous verticals. The data suggests mobile CPCs generate 30% less than those on desktop search. And CTRs are five times higher than desktop search.

While 85% of advertisers don’t have a mobile Web site, Solomon believes now is a good time to get started. Similar to a paid-search campaign on the Web, begin by determining the end goal such as sales, leads, site visits, apps downloads or foot traffic. Then advertisers should access their mobile footprint, creating a copy of existing campaigns and adjusting them for mobile to maintain continuity.

In Google’s ad platform, Solomon says to segment campaigns per carriers and devices. When choosing keywords, remember that mobile searches are done at the moment consumers need the information. So, searches occur in real-time. Mobile supports search-driven tasks focusing mostly on location. Those looking for information on mobile devices use a shorter set of keyword strings, compared with desktop searches. Solomon suggests taking part of the budget to test specific words.

When it comes to optimizing ad copy, take into consideration whether consumers are using a mobile phone. Mobile phone users have a shorter attention span and have less time to find information, which makes click-to-call an important feature. Advertisers also can use sitelinks to drive consumers deeper into the Web site.

It really comes back to knowing the end goal, tracking data across all channels and optimizing conversions. Don’t forget to collect and measure the data. Solomon suggests some data points that some marketers may not think of such as measuring map data, driving directions and mobile coupon codes.

AT&T just announced a definitive agreement with Deutsche Telekom to buy T-Mobile USA for $39 billion in cash and stock. In a press release, AT&T said the agreement has been approved by both companies’ boards of directors.

If the deal meets regulatory approval, AT&T will be the largest wireless provider in the United States. The company says the transaction will allow it to expand its 4G LTE network to 95% of the population of the United States, and touts enhanced “quality in the near term” for AT&T and T-Mobile customers.

Those of a patriotic bent will be glad to know that the transaction will make T-Mobile USA a U.S.-based company instead of a German telecom company that ironically calls itself T-Mobile USA. However, if you want to use a GSM phone, you won’t be left with many choices if this deal does go through. But in AT&T’s press release, the company emphasized how the U.S. market will continue to be competitive even after this deal:

The U.S. wireless industry is one of the most fiercely competitive markets in the world and will remain so after this deal. The U.S. is one of the few countries in the world where a large majority of consumers can choose from five or more wireless providers in their local market. For example, in 18 of the top 20 U.S. local markets, there are five or more providers. Local market competition is escalating among larger carriers, low-cost carriers and several regional wireless players with nationwide service plans. This intense competition is only increasing with the build-out of new 4G networks and the emergence of new market entrants.

Is this good news or bad? Both, according to Forrester Research analyst Charles Golvin, who told Mashableminutes ago:

“AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile, if approved, brings good news and bad news. The good news: high-speed mobile broadband service will improve in quality and coverage, including — in the long run — those in rural communities outside the reach of terrestrial broadband today. The bad news: the cost of that service won’t come down nearly as fast as customers would like, since AT&T and Verizon Wireless combined would own nearly three out of every four wireless subscriptions in the US. While clearly troublesome for Sprint and other mobile smaller mobile competitors, It’s also bad news for cable operators, whose incipient mobility products will suffer in comparison to what AT&T and Verizon can offer.”

The rumors that started yesterday about Apple holding an iPad 2 event on March 2nd are true. This morning Apple sent out invites to ”come see what 2011 will be the year of”.

The invitation (pictured) features a large 2 with the calendar page pulled back just enough to give a glimpse of what could be the next iPad. Some have noted that the page is not pulled back far enough to show the facetime camera which we are certain will be on iPad 2.

It is also interesting to note that Apple decided to hold an event to announce iPad 2 on the second day of March. Coincidence or clever marketing? We believe the latter. Now that we know when the second generation iPad will officially be revealed, we will wait patiently and hope Steve Jobs is able to make the announcement.

The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10:00 am. Apple has used this venue to introduce a number of products in recent years including the first generation iPad.

Are you planning on getting the second generation iPad?

If you are planning on buying an iPad this week you might want to hold off. Rumors have begun that Apple will hold an event next week to introduce the iPad 2. Macnotes.net reports that sources within the accessories business have told them Apple will hold an event to show off the new iOS 4.3 and introduce iPad 2 next week.
This falls in line with with everything we’ve heard about Apple making an announcement in late January / early February about an iPad 2 that will ship in April. In what has been a crazy week for iPad 2 rumors and speculation, Apple site 9to5mac claimed they received a new screen from iPad 2 (which they report is thinner and lighter than the original iPad sceen), and a Reuters reporter claims to have seen an iPad 2 at a press conference earlier this week for The Daily (News Corps. iPad newspaper app).
Whether or not 9to5mac actually got their hands on a genuine iPad 2 screen or a Reuters reporter saw an actual iPad 2 prototype is unknown, but crazier things have happened. Anyone remember how an Apple employee left his unreleased iPhone 4 in a bar? Still it seems odd to us that a reporter seeing a highly anticipated unreleased Apple product at an Apple event would not bother taking a photo. What do you think? Will Apple finally take the wraps off iPad 2 next week?
