Just for fun, I’m gonna throw out my predictions for your list of rumors. I obviously have nothing to base this on; just my gut. Again, just for fun… When the official annoucement is finally made, we can look back at this to see how far off I was (am).

    1) Absolutely!
    2) Not a chance! Next iPhone will definitely have a home button. Maybe some future version of the iPhone will get rid of the home button, but not the “iPhone 5″.
    3) This one is tough. I wanna say it’s not happening and the screen will be the same size, but too many “leaks” indicate that it may be larger. I’ll go with a yes on this one; larger screen.
    4) I would be quite shocked of there is no 64GB model. This is a definite YES!
    5) No chance! Maybe in a future iPhone, but not this one.
    6) For sure, yes.
    7) I’m gonna mix it up here. The A5 chip is for sure coming to the iPhone 5, but I’m gonna just throw it out there that I don’t think the RAM will be increased.
    8) I makes me sad to say this, but the iPhone 5 will not launch ANYWHERE until at least sometime in October. I want it to launch the same day in Canada as it does in the U.S., but that is also unlikely. Launch in Canada will be late Oct or early Nov.

You are probably more correct than the article.. Just heard so much about it thought I would put this out there…

Do you think the “Cloud” will cut sales on the larger 64GB models… Right now on my 32 and can transfer all i need through iDisk and no need for storage..

    Thanks Brandon!!

I haven’t really thought of that. I’ll probably end up getting the 64GB version just so I can keep it loaded with as much music and videos as I want (even though it’s a little unnecessary).

If I were to guess, I’m sure there will be some that don’t upgrade to 64GB just because iCloud exists, but I don’t think many people will do that.

    Alright, let’s see how I did…

    1) Correct – 8MP camera!
    2) Correct – The new iPhone 4S still has the home button.
    3) Incorrect – Bah, should have went with my gut. Same screen size as iPhone 4.
    4) Correct – 64GB model (kinda a necessity with 1080p video recording).
    5) Correct – No 3D technology.
    6) Incorrect – No NFC. I’m sure we will eventually see this, but it’s not a mainstream tech yet so it makes sense that Apple wouldn’t include it.
    7) Correct – We know it has the A5 chip, but we don’t yet know about the RAM. But with the changes that they’ve made, I still suspect that it will remain at 512MBs and not be upgraded to 1GB.
    8) Correct – A nice surprise to see the iPhone 4S launch in Canada on the same day as the US.
